Seasons (Grief & Loss)
Tailored courses and seminars can be designed to meet the needs of
people in the community going into, being in or moving out of a
relationship.
Seminars can be arranged for Professional Staff
development on a range of topics e.g. Communication Skills, Conflict
Resolution. We invite you to call us and discuss your requirements and we
will endeavour to work with you to meet your
needs.
MARRIAGE PREPARATION PROGRAMS
The established pre-marriage programs
consist of:
- Weekend Workshop
- F.O.C.C.U.S. (Facilitating Open Couple
Communication, Understanding &
Study)
Couples may choose either option or
decide to do both. Please call to discuss the options.
WEEKEND WORKSHOPS:
- Occupies all day
Saturday.
- Is an interactive program.
- For couples preparing for marriage
or commitment.
Topics discussed:
- Expectations of marriage - similarities and differences.
- Influences from the past - the
importance of family and cultural patterns.
- Communication - effective ways and
means.
- Conflict management - practical
skills.
- Values - appreciate the
differences and find compromise.
- Spirituality - its place in
your relationship.
All Toowoomba courses are conducted at
Centacare, Annand Street, Toowoomba.

F.O.C.C.U.S.
F.O.C.C.U.S. is a program that allows
couples to explore their relationship on an individual basis with a
facilitator.
The F.O.C.C.U.S.
Program Involves:
Individual written responses to non-threatening statements. (First
one-hour appointment)
Feedback by a facilitator and discussion of couple responses. (Two
sessions, 1 - 1.5 hours each)
Raising questions and concerns to allow couples to further explore the
potential of their relationship.
Complete
confidentiality.
F.O.C.C.U.S. is a discussion process not counselling.

SEASONS - A PROGRAM FOR GRIEF
& LOSS
Seasons is a unique peer
support program developed to help children and young people cope with
the grief and feelings of loss resulting from separation, divorce or
death in their family.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
& TRAINING
A 2-day Professional Development & Training
Workshop is available and is of particular interest to teaching staff,
parishes, community
organisations and health and welfare agencies.
